Hi, I'm Marjaana Rakai, A Proud Nordic Soul and Tired Mom Runs!

I hail from the pristine landscapes of North Finland, where the magic of Nordic living shaped my existence for the first part of my life. Having spent 30 years immersed in the culture and vitality of Finland and Norway, I've assimilated the essence of Nordic well-being into the very fabric of my being.

In my reality, exercise isn't a chore; it's a wellspring of rejuvenation and happiness—an absolute priority in the chaos of life. It's a reflection of "sisu," the Finnish concept of extraordinary courage, determination, and resilience, embodying the spirit of pushing forward in the face of adversity.

My mission is to foster a community where moms like you can wholeheartedly embrace the transformative power of movement, propelling both yourself and your family to greater heights through every step, stretch, and motion.

As a former high-level cross-country skier in my youth and now an elite-level age group Ironman triathlete, I've lived and breathed the spirit of "sisu." I understand the challenges and exhaustion that accompany the beautiful chaos of motherhood.

 

Yet, I firmly believe that through the pure joy of movement, we can tap into an unstoppable force within us. Together, we can cast off the weight of fatigue and embrace a life teeming with energy and purpose.

Whether it's lacing up our running shoes, pedaling into the horizon, donning comfortable yoga pants, or engaging in any form of physical activity that electrifies our senses, let's embark on this exhilarating journey together.

It won't always be easy, but with our collective strength, courage, and unwavering support for one another, we can conquer any obstacle that crosses our path.
