Tired Mom Who Did Not Run

Motherhood had become my mission, my guiding light, my all. I was determined to be the best possible mom to my three little ones, even if it meant pushing myself to the brink of exhaustion.

But soon, I realized that motherhood was not a sprint but an ultra-marathon that required self-compassion, time, grace, and space. I had been running through it like a bull in a china shop, unaware of the burnout risk.

One day, I decided to hike a part of the East Coast trail in Newfoundland, just a few kilometres from my house. As I walked up the trail, I focused on my goal to hike it, but it soon became much more than that.

You see, I had been having these thoughts. About hurting myself. In fact, ending it all. I was utterly exhausted, my head in very dark clouds.

That very day, I fantasized about jumping off the cliffs in front of me.

Every time I approached a cliff, I ran, focusing only on keeping each step on the trail and away from the cliff. I was afraid of coming too close to the edge. When I reached the wooded area, I walked. I continued this pattern until I felt confident and safe.

I ended up running most of the trail, about 14 kilometres, and felt invigorated, energized, and most importantly, good about myself. I felt true joy, not just the warmth my children gave me.

It was a feeling that ran deep within me.

That day on the East Coast trail, I found my reason not to give up (my kids), and my vehicle to keep going (running).

Motherhood is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences in life. It is also one of the most challenging roles a woman can undertake. From pregnancy to childbirth to raising a child, motherhood requires a tremendous amount of physical, emotional, and mental strength.

As a mother and an athlete, I have learned that motherhood and training for an ultra-endurance event like Ironman can coexist.


However, it requires a lot of planning, time management, and support from family and friends. It also requires mental skills like patience and acceptance that some days, training may take a backseat to motherhood duties.

As a mother, it's important to prioritize self-care, both physically and mentally. Proper nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management are essential for both motherhood and endurance training.


It's also important to listen to your body and rest when needed. Taking care of yourself first will enable you to better care for your family and pursue your athletic goals. 

Being fit does not always equate to being healthy. In fact, many endurance athletes struggle with health issues such as hormonal imbalances, gut issues, and immune dysfunction. I have been there too. You know what I am talking about, the stress belly?! 


These issues can arise from overtraining, poor nutrition, stress, and other factors.

It's important for athletes to prioritize their health and seek out the advice of healthcare professionals when needed. A well-rounded approach to health includes proper nutrition, stress management, adequate sleep, and regular self-care.

These are the building blocks that I have built into this course. I've put years into building it, and I am so excited to finally offer it to YOU. Because I am committed to helping out mothers who struggle like I once did.

  1. Is this right for me? If you're a burned-out mom who often prioritizes your health and fitness at the bottom of your to-do list and feel like you're not reaching your full potential, then this program is designed for you. As long as you are cleared to exercise from your health care practitioner, you are good to go!

  2. Do I need any fancy equipment? You'll need an internet connection for access. Additionally, you should have access to either a well-equipped gym or at-home gym equipment such as bands and some weights. However, there's no need to worry about high costs, as you'll learn how to improvise with what you have if you don't have access to all the equipment.

  3. Is there a Facebook Support Group? Yes, there is a private Facebook group available for members. 

  4. What if I cannot participate in the Coaching Calls? If you can't attend the live sessions, recordings will be available for you to watch at your convenience. You can also ask questions through the Facebook group.

  5. How long will it take to go through the program? This is a self-paced program with a flexible structure. It is expected to take 6 months to complete. Each module will be released 1st of every month. You can always go through the material faster or slower. You will receive a 6-month-long training program along with mindset-focused modules that you can work through at your own pace. After the initial 6 months, it is recommended that you join the Tribe group for monthly training programs. You have access to the program for 12 calendar months.

  6. Is there a money-back guarantee? No, there is no money-back guarantee offered for this digital course. The results of the course are individual, and refunds are not provided due to the digital nature of the program.

  7. What if I can't make the LIVE calls and the group is going at a different pace than me? This is self-paced course, and you can always jump on a call even though you may not be exactly where other moms are. You can do the modules in different order. I do however, recommend doing them in laid-out order and try to join for the meetings as scheduled but I understand it is difficult.
